Students/pupils learn better by emulation and mimicks. Teaching diction once or twice a week in schools may not foster learning on a wider impact. For this reason, we work with primary and secondary schools to train their teachers, administrators and other staff members on Diction/Elocution and Standard English Expressions in order to improve the quality of their Spoken English and speak right in its entirety.
Mastery of eloquence is attained by repetition and practice. Thus, having all teaching staff trained and equipped for reinforcement of what the students/pupils have learnt cannot be overemphasized.
Students and pupils will be taught the British sounds and expressions. This will enable them pronounce English words with accuracy.
Students will be introduced to Esbasics Press Club – this is an offshoot of the academy. A public speaking club where students are trained to be great public speakers. They will learn how to make electrifying speeches, build confidence, develop communication skills and compete amongst themselves for prizes.
Additionally, in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven society, teaching children manners is something that is more crucial than ever. Students are expected to adhere to certain standards of classroom, telephone, posture and fine dining etiquette. They will learn how to make introductions, self respect and respect for others, how to handle conflicts and basic etiquette to help them stand out in their world.
We have worked with a few schools and it has been a success story. The beauty of our work is perhaps made manifest in the intonation and conduct of the students/pupils. Some teachers have taken their encounter with us as a challenge to improve on their spoken English and so be able to stand tall above contemporaries. We are committed to this. Within one academic year, a remarkable difference in the pupils/student’s spoken English cannot but be noticed.
Let’s help effect the change you desire in your students/pupils and teachers. You will be grateful for this.
